This map of the Winterpock 7.5-minute quadrangle is in portions of the Amelia, Chesterfield, and Dinwiddie counties and is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Richmond, Virginia. This map contains igneous, metaigneous, metasedimentary, and fault rocks of the Dinwiddie terrane and a currently unknown terrane in the Piedmont province. This product also includes historic coal measures of the Triassic Richmond Basin and surficial deposits that range from Miocene(?) sand and gravels to modern alluvium. Online only.
