Report describes the bedrock geology of the Madison 7.5-minute quadrangle. The rocks on this quadrangle are exposed in the core of the Blue Ridge anticlinorium. Numerous fault zones exist in the area. The oldest rocks exposed in the area are approximately 1,150 million years old.
