This report and the accompanying maps portray the stratigraphy, structure, and economic geology of the Natural Bridge, Sugarloaf Mountain, Buchanan, and Arnold Valley 7.5-minute quadrangles (portions of Botetourt, Rockbridge, and Bedford counties). Bedrock geologic maps with surficial deposits have Blue Ridge basement and cover rocks, Valley and Ridge sedimentary rocks, and recent alluvium are mapped and include cross-sections. Rock repository sample locations, quarries and prospects for limestone, clay and iron are plotted.
